EDINBURGH – Hidalgo County Commissioner Ellie Torres and the Texas General Land Office (GLO) will host a presentation for the Homeowner Assistance and Reimbursment Program (HARP) on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Endowment Center located at 107 N. Sunflower Road in Edinburgh.

The HARP program, administered by Texas GLO, is a new reimbursement and repair assistance program for residents of Hidalgo, Cameron, Jim Wells and Willacy counties who were affected by torrential rains in 2018 and 2019. It This is a combined grant program to help reimburse expenses related to home repairs, help finance necessary repairs or rebuild a home.

People who wish to apply for the program can learn how to qualify by attending the event. Representatives from the Texas General Land Office will be on hand to provide information, answer questions and provide step-by-step application advice.
