The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government is moving at an accelerated pace to develop a comprehensive land reform programme, which enables equitable access to land that will unlock economic growth, bringing more land in KZN to full use and to this Prime Minister Sihle Zikalala will chair the two-day Land Governance Summit to be held in Durban on March 15-16, 2022.

The summit, which will be attended by mayors, Amakhosi and government officials, will focus on innovative measures that can be taken by government and Amakhosi to ensure that land is used for the economic benefit of communities through the implementation of spatial planning. and land use. The Summit is held under the theme: “Towards effective land administration for the rapid release of land for priority development, integrated land use management and unified land tenure management, accessible compliance and enforcement services one-stop-shops for land development in the districts”.

This summit follows strong engagements between the province’s provincial government and businesses during the KZN Growth Coalition’s two-day business workshop attended by over 100 CEOs.
